What should I do after the screen printing plate is made?
After the screen printing plate is made, a comprehensive inspection and post-processing are required. The processing method is mainly carried out from the following aspects.
①Check the quality of the screen printing plate, including whether the graphics and texts are fully developed, whether the graphics and texts are dotted, and whether the lines have burrs, incomplete, broken pens, and mesh seals. If the above conditions are found, various methods should be taken to remedy them. If it cannot be remedied, consider re-making the plate to ensure the quality of printing in the future.
② Check whether there are air bubbles, sand holes in the omentum, and the four sides near the screen frame are closed; the air bubbles and sand holes should be remedied in time. Seal the four sides of the screen to avoid ink leakage during printing.
③ Check the printing positioning mark to see if it meets the requirements of the printing order.
④ Use adhesive tape to stick the bonding part of the screen and the screen frame to improve the bonding firmness of the screen and the screen frame.
⑤ Paste the plate label, paste the plate label on the unified frame position, and indicate the following items: print name, color, color number, screen mesh number, plate line number, photosensitive material type, plate making date, and plate maker.
⑥Transfer the full set of finished plates to the printing process.
How to keep the screen printing plate?
The screen frame with the stretched mesh, the screen printing plate that has been dried, and the screen printing plate that needs to be stored after printing should be properly kept. If it is not well preserved and the wire mesh is damaged, it cannot be used continuously, resulting in scrap. The screen frame or screen printing plate is usually stored in a plate rack, and there are two types of storage forms: horizontal and vertical. The horizontal type is to place the screen printing plates of the same specification in one layer of the plate frame, which can be overlapped. The vertical type is to erect the screen printing plate in the plate groove on the plate frame. It is better to use the vertical storage method for the larger screen plate to prevent the screen printing plate from sagging. Finally, it should be mentioned that no matter which form is used to store the printing plate, the dustproof of the screen cannot be ignored.
